Pros
HARMAN hires great people in the U.S, they have good talent sourcing. They are also low key, I rarely felt pressured at work or stressed. It was the first place where i didn't mind going into work and would actually put in work on the weekends when i was bored.
Cons
1. They only hire in India now and rarely hire in the U.S. and laying off all of their US workers to hire offshore to cut costs. 2. Many many silos which can make doing your job difficult. Email this person, to this person, to this person, oh wait this person is now on vacation, email this person. Whoops now an escalation. Lots of passing of the buck for one person to get kudos at the end. 3. Can be extremely male driven and no diversity in the tech space. 4. No reward for being a good employee and getting your job done nor going above and beyond. If you are not the loudest in the room, you will not be seen. Even if you are the best employee.
