Pros

A nice line on your résumé—if you can survive a year, take what you’ve learned and run somewhere that will actually pay and treat you with basic respect.

Cons

• Hostile atmosphere: Owners mistreat managers, managers take it out on their teams, and employees end up at each other’s throats. • Unreasonably low pay: The compensation does not match the high demands and stress of the job. • Unsafe and inedible staff meals: Food is not just bad—it frequently causes food poisoning. Employees getting sick after eating staff meals is a common occurrence. • Severely inadequate and unsanitary facilities: Only two single-stall bathrooms for over 150 employees, and to make matters worse, the septic system is in terrible condition. The toilets constantly break down, overflow, and reek, making the already insufficient facilities borderline unusable. • No work-life balance: Expect to work every major holiday, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, with no exceptions. • Discriminatory and illegal grooming policies: Men are not allowed to have beards or long hair, while women are required to wear makeup—policies that are both outdated and legally questionable.

The pay is pretty good

Cons

The Inn has horrible management who play favorites. Your schedule doesn’t matter to anyone they will make you come in on your scheduled days off and offend you will have to work 7-10 days in a row. Most of the staff only building are falling apart. You will work holidays with no holiday pay, they do give you 25 dollars as a holiday bonus. They do not care about your mental health. They will tell you to put in your two weeks for asking to transfer to a different department. There is just no care for employees personally lives
