Pros
Projects (when they do come along) are extremely intellectually stimulating; you get to work on highly strategic problem statements. The frameworks and problem-solving tools you learn are quite useful.
Cons
Leadership flaws are disguised as personality quirks; there is rampant favoritism and a general lack of empathy bordering on disdain. Actual strategy projects are far and few - you will spend most of your time working on mini-workshops, business development, or "thought leadership" (which usually ends up being a rehash of old material).
