Pros
The PACE model itself is awesome! The center is new and clean. All is Glossy on the outside, but rotten on the inside.
Cons
However, the PACE model is not well implemented at InnovAge. Management is unreliable, shady, untrustworthy, and any other negative word you can come up with. The workload is through the roof. The company loses competent staff due to lack of structure. The lack of trust of their employees is concerning. The amount of management staff with little to no education overseeing staff with degrees is concerning. Ethical concerns is a major issue here. This will come up a lot working as an auxiliary staff within IDT. All departments of the center are overworked. There is no respect to the person and no respect to your profession. High staff turnover and the urgency to replace staff is extremely slow. Management does not implement suggestions from participant and staff reviews. PCP’s are overworked and allowed to see all the participants in the program with no adequate support. All depts receive lots of angry calls from participants, because their needs are not adequately met. Participants rights are not respected. Often times management will literally coerce a participant from leaving the program, despite their decision to leave. They see this as a positive thing. The policies are not in favor of the population served. Instead they stand to benefit the company as a whole. Staff end up working behind the computer more than they do working with the pop. served. There are no beaks here. There is no work life balance. You will have no time to attend to your family emergencies. A word of advice, these reviews are real. The people who wrote them actually mean what was said. Do yourself a favor by not applying here. Do not ignore the overall company 2.5 reviews. Everything is real! You are not an exception
