Pros
Ability to work across silos and sectors, and learn new tools and skills -- although this benefit is indirectly a result of the lack of organizational cohesion and unclear roles and responsibilities, which lead to experienced new hires having to assume multiple roles.
Cons
Ten people manage 1 person who actually does work. DEI hires about in management and get promoted due to their ability to check boxes, as opposed to commercial performance. The entire managerial hierarchy aims to shift blame for its continues errors and myopia over the past 10-15 years, which have led to the firm losing its once-vaunted industry status, towards lower-level staff.
