Extremely political. Managers are absolutely obssessed by who is going to be the new director/VP rather than technical topics and research. Promotions and salary increase are never fair, 100% based on how close you are to the director. You will learn nothing here, and won't progress technically, or maybe you will learn some politics tricks...
