      Pros

      Lots of time off. Easy, fun job if you get placed in a good position - and I haven't had a bad one yet.

      Cons

      Lots of unpaid time off. You may be made to feel bad if you take holidays that conflict with your lessons especially at short notice. Even if it's for reasons outside your control.

      The work is fun if you like teaching.

      Cons

      The pay is rather low. Lack of transparency year to year about renewal of your contract.
