I’ve had a really positive experience working at Intercom. The company is in a genuinely exciting place, especially with its focus on AI and how that’s transforming customer service. There’s a strong sense of momentum and ambition, which makes the work feel meaningful and impactful. One of the standout aspects is the people. Teams are thoughtful, collaborative, and generally low-ego, which creates a great environment to learn and do your best work. Leadership is transparent about priorities and challenges, and there’s a real effort to align the company around clear goals. I’ve also appreciated the balance between strategy and execution. There’s room to think big, but also a strong bias toward action and delivering results. If you’re someone who likes ownership and moving quickly, it’s a great place to be.
Cons
Like any company, it’s not perfect - things move quickly and priorities can shift. There can be misalignment between R&D and and GTM leadership. Overall, it’s a place where you can grow, contribute meaningfully, and be part of building something important.
