Pros

401K plan. 3 paid sick days a year. Paid vacation.

Cons

One of the lowest paid carriers in Southern California. As of 12-25-2017 a day shift driver makes 23.20 hr. No overtime paid. A working schedule is 5 on 2 off, 5 on 3 off. Owner-Operators almost outnumber company drivers. Kickbacks and payoffs are given to middle dispatch/management from Owner-Operators for highest paying loads. Not everyone is treated all the same (favoritism). Most of the trucks are in poor shape and the tanks always need weld patch work done to them. The shop keeps limited parts on hand which results in multiple units being put out of service. Shop repair hours per truck have declined in recent years. Corporate needs to overhaul the Long Beach terminal.

Pros

It's the largest logistics company in North America. Benefits aren't terrible. They fire you a week after your mom dies so you can have extra time to grieve.

Cons

Understaffed IT department 24 hour helpdesk with only 17 people for 8500 employees including truck drivers Uses cheap outdated software that always breaks Forced to work Holidays or forced to take PTO before holidays IT Department is one big nepotistic clique. Everyone knows everyone from outside of work or is related by blood or marriage Management is incompetent. Can't even do Tier 1 IT jobs correctly Tier system is a joke. No chance for real advancement Whole IT Helpdesk department is holed up in a windowless attic. IT Helpdesk can't even participate in company events because it's 24 hours and they only staffed 17 people for 8500 employees. Ridiculous call and ticket volumes. Management will attempt to micromanage your every move They barely train you and everything is learned on the job, but you are still penalized for not knowing things you can only learn from experience doing this exact job Management actively lied to you. I started out as a contractor making more money and when they told me when they hired me I would be making more. When I got hired in they offered me less to start Co-workers like to show you Nazi propaganda on their lunch breaks
