Pros
I love my coworkers- they are willing to teach you, have patience, and are excellent models of how to interact with the kids. My manager goes above and beyond to help me grow as a BHT, but also if I need time off, she will help me ask people to cover my shift. For a social services job, I feel like we are compensated very fairly. There is overtime, which is very nice. The benefits are comprehensive as well. The kids are my favorite part though. I enjoy watching them grow to recognize their triggers or behaviors and how to react more healthily to those.
Cons
There are some shifts that do not have full coverage. The staff that works these shifts are really good at holding it down and working together, but it can add some stress if there aren't enough people.
