Pros

tuition reimbursement, top payed compared to other child care centers, people you work within the classroom have the same opinions as you do. the company is world wide so if you want a transfer it seems possible.

Cons

you only advance in the company if you the right color, the trainings are a waste of of time. the employees opinions and suggestions are tossed to the side and the parents are in control. Expectations to come to work during state of emergencies is outrageous. Lack of supplies is embarrassing. kids are allowed to come to school sick and contagious.,

Pros

One of the benefits (at least used to be) is a discount on child care at one of their centers. So that can be a plus if there is a good center in your area and you have children.

Cons

This is an extremely political environment and definitely dog-eat-dog world. Even if you don't play politics, it will be hard to stay clear because the political players cannot conceive of anyone not playing their game. If you are with them, that's great while they need you. If you aren't with them (or you are not playing), be prepared to be a constant target. Management practices can vary from those that follow some semblance of normalcy, to those who will do anything they please including withholding bonuses, bad reviews (however unsubstantiated), critical rebuffs when you don't agree with them, to outright insulting and critical comments to your face with a dozen witnesses. This is true among the upper management, as well. Most employees won't speak up because they want to keep their jobs, so don't count on any support from the sidelines. Just keep your head down, try not to be noticed, smile when you can, and get out as soon as possible. Bottom line, if you love politically charged environments where your accomplishments don't count for nearly as much as your backstabbing style, this is a great place to hone your skills. If you don't thrive in a viciously political environment, -- don't bother applying. If you do need the money right now, take the job but keep looking.
