      Great place to work, but lacks diversity. - Tax Associate LBMC Employee Review

      Pros

      -Exposure to a variety of tax returns and computer software. -New office, plenty of resources. - In my opinion, this firm is probably in the top 3 of the largest and most successful firms in TN. - Surrounded by intelligent and hard working people. - Training program is great. I've been told that it has greatly improved from the past. - Great professional atmosphere. - Competitive pay, even higher than some of the Big 4. - Busy season hours ranged from 50-65.

      Cons

      -It seems to me like there is a lack of diversity. Out of 500+ employees, it looks like 99% are White. So far I've only seen about 2 asians and 3 African Americans. Staff can be a bit cliquey, so the lack of diversity makes it worse for someone of color to come in.

      Pros

      LBMC has a strong culture with a very people first mentality. Firm leadership is forward thinking, and continues to improve resources. Listens to employees and seeks input from them.

      Cons

      LBMC started as a small firm, that I have seen grown exponentially over the last 10 years. They are now a mid/large size firm that can sometimes still have a small firm mentality. Not necessarily a bad thing but just an observation within my own dept over the last several years. Although, the company has really come along way in integrating new offices across various cities over the last couple of years with new acquisitions. I think they are trending in the right direction to continue growing.

      Company actively pursues honest communication with employees.

      Cons

      Bonus is based off of gross company earnings instead of dept performance.
