Pros

Data driven culture means that if you can prove something with data, it is respected. Somewhat of a work-life balance if you aren't a manager. Amazing benefits. There are great, intelligent people almost anywhere you work that will do their best to help you and grow you.

Cons

Where to start? Everyone is half analyst at this company, no matter your job title. This creates mountains of data that no one actually uses. HQ in Korea constantly requests reports of all shapes and sizes, and tons of work is duplicated. There is also zero follow-through so sometimes your data analysis is for nothing. There are 3-4 meetings a week JUST for reporting. And you are expected to show DAILY progress on your work. I had a former manager tell me "We have to feed the sharks" referring to keeping upper management happy by doing busy work that we knew was not actually effective. If you happen to excel at reporting, strap in. They will use you and abuse you, and give you the work of 4 analysts. Not exaggerating. Speaking of ineffective work, the internal systems for this company were created in house, likely in a rush. They do not work. They have not worked for years. But you're expected to hobble along and make the best of it even when things get delayed/destroyed because of broken systems. Departments and subsidiaries are pretty competitive with each other, because they are ranked very harshly with data. So work will get duplicated and redone all the time. Something that is necessary to know is this company is Korean-owned, which is a neat culture, but they are very biased towards their own. Emails will be sent out in Korean, meetings will be had in Korean. An entire department was given to a very young korean manager who had no experience in the subject. (Even though there were several qualified American managers) Needless to say that department has been shut down after losing all of its employees due to ineffective management. Top-down, waterfall style company.

Pros

LG used to be my dream job. 5 years ago, Every good part of LG ended. They preach all day about wellness, work life balance, and investing in their employees. And they used to do just that but not any more. Their 100% paid insurance is literally the only perk and its a trap.

Cons

They take motivated and competent individuals and shackle them with the workload of 5 or 6 people while telling them they aren't good enough, not doing enough, even though they are somehow finding a way to juggle all of the immense workload. PTO is a joke and no one respects it, they will call and ask you to work on your PTO, on weekends and at 10pm. They have no shame. The compensation is entirely below the bar even with 100% paid insurance. Promotions & Raises? Those only go to Koreans. Its gone so far down hill in the last 5 years. The culture in that office is so toxic but the job market is so restricted that you can't leave.
