    Pros

Compensation, Beautiful Location, Free lunch vouchers, Telecommuting/Flexible Schedule, Fitness Center

    Cons

Lost in Translation - Clarity between HQ and the local office seems to sometimes be lacking due to language barriers. I did have a personal translator though, which was nice.

I have been working at LG Electronics full-time

    Pros

Great work-life balance. Work independently no micromanagement. Holidays and weekends off. Pays weekly

    Cons

My position is a marketing position. Marketing a company that doesn't put the bigger piece of it pie towards advertising can be challenging.

I have been working at LG Electronics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Terrific people, excellent benefits, work/life balance is fair.

    Cons

Cultural bias, top down budgeting for sales quotas that are aspirational not realistic. Lack of innovation for launch processes (repeat the same things over and over again), little to no focus on demand generation.

    Advice to Management

We are in the consumer space, and brand rules supreme. Stop putting all of your resources into promotions or readiness at retail. Grab consumers before they visit the store, run national promotions without retailer support in an effort to gain share of voice. Be bombastic, enough nice and cute advertising, call out the competition and be aggressive, discounting merely cheapens us and is old school. Speaking of advertising - do some! Going on for two months of the year and being dark for ten months merely forces discounting. Finally, realize that if demand is being generated, retail execution will improve. Not, if retail execution was better, sales would improve. Retail is irrelevant. If customers come in demanding LG products, retailers will sell them and/or make them a priority.
