Thank you for your review of LabGenius, and I’m sorry that your experience at the company isn’t currently as positive as it should be.
I’m glad that you have found your colleagues to be passionate about our mission. We put a lot into ensuring that we hire individuals with values that align with our own and I’m incredibly proud to work with such a collaborative team. That said, I am disappointed to hear about some of your other experiences.
At LabGenius, the physical, mental, and financial health of our team is prioritised without exception, and we make a conscious effort to nurture it in all forms. The pandemic took a toll on us all, and we recognise that life for some during this time was incredibly difficult — we didn’t get everything right the first time. That’s why we have since refocused our efforts on the roll out of a gold standard employee benefits package, which includes increased pension contributions, private medical insurance, and more time off with increased flexibility, to name a few.
Wherever possible, we encourage flexible working and hybrid working patterns at LabGenius. Due to the nature of our work, often no two roles are the same, and therefore we are keen to avoid implementing a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, to ensure that each role is given due consideration, we work on a case-by-case basis, and tailor working patterns to the individual and the requirements of their role. Having said that, the reality is that a large percentage of our workforce are wet-lab scientists and that’s the type of work that often can’t be done from home.
