Pros

The company seems to be performing well financially. Feels more secure than many other places. Morale is good. Flexibility to work from home, but also the option of going to the office if you want. Engineers are empowered to build great products, with a high level of autonomy. No micro-management; you are trusted to get the job done. Exposure to many interesting areas like functional programming with F# and Haskell. You are given time and space to explore technology, read books, attend conferences etc and grow your skills. There's a great culture of learning and self-improvement. Standards are high, best practises followed. Great coworkers, highly skilled and motivated, and a pleasure to work with. Dublin office seems to be particularly well run. Pay and annual leave allowance are both good. Good work-life balance. Management very supportive. It's just a nice place to work.

Cons

Some of the internal tools and processes used aren't user-friendly and need improvement. The background screening you need to take before starting is a pita.

Pros

The company has a strong market position and the work is genuinely meaningful. The data and risk solutions space is interesting and the business has real substance behind it. Colleagues are generally knowledgeable and willing to help when you can find the right people.

Cons

Onboarding is largely sink-or-swim. New hires inherit work in progress without adequate context, documentation, or ramp-up support. Access to the tools, data, and systems you need to do your job can take weeks to materialize, which puts you behind before you even get started. There’s an expectation of immediate execution without the infrastructure to support it, and little formal process for how campaigns or projects are handed off.
