The team was so much fun, even though I was a seasonal temp I felt like I was a valued and important member of the team The employee discount and monthly gratis was amazing. I love the products so this was a major benefit for me I am a trans man, I did not disclose this during my application process but when I got around to disclose this the team at my store made me feel very safe and comfortable. The other staff were notified of my name change and there were no issues. Lush really set the gold standard for the inclusion of trans and LGBT colleagues The work was fun and fulfilling Management was good on the whole, very approachable and open with expectations and info to do with shifts. The different bits of the team worked together well, as a stock assistant I got to work with both the shop floor staff and the delivery team and I felt integrated with both. Stock is the best job in the shop. Management really try to look after their team, this is clear in the break room which is always well stocked with noodles, teas/coffee, and a variety of different milks
Cons
How the shift pattern would change through season was not made clear at the beginning of the contract- I would have liked to have had the peace of mind in the beginning that frequency of shifts increases as the season goes on.
