Work/life balance is virtually non-existent, and there are no boundaries on how managers can treat their team members. A lot of bullying and offloading senior level work to lower level employees, yet refusing to discuss promotions or growth. They will have you working at double capacity and still make you feel like you're not doing enough. I witnessed a manager pull their direct report out of the office holiday party for a non-urgent task, and it was completely inappropriate. In terms of the culture, it definitely feels like a high school popularity contest. There are clear favorites who do the least work and get the most praise. Hard work is not rewarded. Major red flag was seeing that most of the POC choose to sit in a separate part of the office together - it makes one wonder about the culture, and why they don't feel comfortable sitting with the rest of the office.
