Pros
- Good employee benefits (coverage for medical and dental is quite good, and Annual health check is covered even for contract staff) - Generally nice and supportive colleagues (if we disregard the toxic and lazy ones) - Majority of the bosses I have served were nice and approachable - Location "improved" since the opening of the Thomson-East Coast line
Cons
- Senior Management and bosses lack career planning skills for staff - Office politics were minimal when I first joined, but the situation worsened when a local staff gained more power and seemingly has a hold over Senior Management's decision-making matters - Poor systems and basically non-existent IT support - Favouritism and a culture of assigning more work to people who are fast and/or effective or "less busy" in the boss's opinion - Unfair distribution of work and hence OT was unavoidable half the time
