Pros

Cafeterias, company donations to health savings account, dynamic environment (things change a lot), opportunity to work on a lot of different types of projects. Most work occurs 8-5, M-F so personal time is your own for the most part.

Cons

Very political environment. CEO is overly involved in key projects to the point where things can't get done. Antiquated systems and processes that are slow and hard to work though. No raises. Bonuses are promised and then forgotten about when the work is done. This happens all the time to the point that trust has completely eroded. Nepotism is rampant - members of the founders family are all in key positions without the skill sets needed for their jobs. These family members then hire their buddies and run the show. Dissenting voices are not allowed at all. If you question why something is being done you are labeled as not a team player. Product acquisition is more important than properly managing existing product lines. When employees give two weeks they are asked to leave immediately so their counterparts are left to pick up the pieces and try to figure things out. Roles change very often almost weekly. Meetings with executives are canceled or rescheduled so many times you can never plan your day let alone your week. The CEO is unpredictable and moody. He runs the company based on his military experience and often bullies and hazes his employees. It is truly his way or the highway.
