Pros

Willing to hire at entry level.

Cons

ER department is very unprofessional and the turn over rate is very high across the board. After two years I could count on one hand the people who were still there when I started. The environment is very toxic and if you're a good person with morals and ethics, you will hate it and not last. It's also not easy to move up because management will block you from getting promoted. This place makes the best place to work list because they basically force you to do the survey and of course it's not anonymous like they lead you to believe.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.
