Pros

You get Sundays off, if you work hard enough you can get bonuses and 1% commission or sales of glasses and contact lenses. You get free eye exam and glasses yearly. You can learn a bit.

Cons

Not a set schedule. If you are part time no health benefits or insurance, pay is very low and cost of healthcare offered to full time employees is too expensive. Management pushes to meet sales goals with minimal support and not enough staff. Was told they’ll hire more staff and waited almost 10 months and we were still understaffed. Staff often complained about working 6 days a week and store manager became offended and blamed understaffing. They have horrible communication, and coping skills when you tell them you will no longer work 6 days a week. Manager constantly brought her personal drama into work, and would take it out on other people, would often call out but if you did you would have to get your act together. People have posted her behavior online under customer reviews on Google and Yelp. Management often came at me sideways or even when having a non work discussion would snub me out. Management would call and not leave a message outside of work hours and on my days off. Overall it’s not an environment I would ever want to enter on a daily basis and am very thankful I have significantly reduced my stress by finding another employer.
