Pros
If you are an engineer, you can start a career at Leroy Somer, but leave it after 2-3 years! Please don't waste time and money that you can earn easily elsewhere. It is a good company to get the initial experience and then to move to a serious company where you can make a decent income. - great technical people to learn from - good if you want to have your family life and work is just place to get a basic income
Cons
- Low salary, no visibility on potential earnings - HR tries to convince employees that people work for passion and because they like it, and money is not the most important factor. We are in the business and business is a sport of making money! If if tell employees the contrary, they get extremely unmotivated, and they know we treat them as less intelligent (put it softly) - great for HR people. You may suck at your work and still get promoted - Managers/directors who give empty rhetoric in speeches - Never trust HR - managers can "motivate" 5 of 8 of their engineers to leave the company and no one asks a question what's wrong with this manager/director? - no honest communication/no feedback between middle class(engineers) and directors. There is no room for constructive criticism in this company. -more managers than employees
