Pros

In general , employees there do what they can to survive there.

Cons

As a former employee with direct knowledge of how things are ran in that office, i can say this.. The manager there is trying to do the best she can under the circumstances however, It is very obvious to all, the Director there is who is running the show. How can someone, anyone be able to be an effective manager there when she has a micromanager director breathing down her neck every second and is using her as HER escape goat to do her "dirty" job ? She (the director) goes to bad for the few people she likes and to bow to her while throwing trash and not caring for anyone she does not see worthy of her. One more thing. Pay there is a joke, There was a time when salary was competitive. Now, any other place for the job, pays much better. They stopped using their PRN staff a while back. They should have increased their full time staff the salary the prn's were making which is close to what a good interpreter is making these days.

Pros

-The best IMS Director in the Atlanta area. -Some of the best IMS physician and consultant colleagues. -Patient load is manageable, especially with the complex patient population. -Benefits are pretty good, especially the pension, but health insurance can be better. -Love the fact that we have PTO -We can grab food from cafeteria for free if we don’t like the food served at the physician lounge.

Cons

-Administration could be more responsive (but seems like that’s everywhere now days) -Wish the EMR was EPIC, Cerner PowerChart is ok -Most of the docs are on 5/5 schedule but bunch of us swapped shifts to make 7/7 work at the Atlanta / Sandy Spring location, like it was mentioned before the director is awesome and allowed the swap.

Pros

I have been privileged to work for Northside Hospital for the past five years, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. During my tenure, I have benefited from the organization's commitment to employee growth through its annual internal promotion policy, which has allowed me to advance within my current department. One of the aspects I value most is Northside's support for work-life balance and professional development. While working here, I was able to begin my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program from the ground up and am on track to graduate in December 2026. The flexibility and encouragement provided by the organization have played a significant role in helping me pursue my educational goals while continuing to contribute as an employee. I was a full-time employee for most of my career with the organization and recently transitioned to part-time status to accommodate the increased demands of my nursing program. The support and understanding shown by management throughout this process have reinforced my appreciation for the company's employee-centered culture. I am grateful for the opportunities, professional growth, and support I have received over the past five years.

Cons

None that I can think of right now
