We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that your overall experience working at OMNOVA has been positive. We welcome comments about areas where we can improve! I've been with OMNOVA for a little over a year and have been recently promoted to an HR Generalist supporting the corporate headquarters. One of my primary responsibilities is the onboarding process, and my goal is to make new employee onboarding and orientation more efficient, productive and fun. We survey all new employees about their onboarding experience to monitor any improvements we can make, and the overall results are positive. When we receive ideas on how to do better, we work on implementing those to ensure we are providing a great onboarding experience. I'd be happy to hear any ideas you have on how we can do better - please stop by and share! Thank you again for your comments. Lyanna Shihada, HR Generalist

Pros

A lot of opportunity to make a ton of money because of the availability of overtime. For the most part, great people to work with. Health benny's pretty good, money pretty good, 401k.

Cons

Management very hard to please. Going thru a lot of changes but your efforts are not appreciated. Old rule of thumb here "My way or the highway". You ask a question or try something different, you are automatically labeled as being negative. Fear in the work place is NOT healthy. Corporate HR visits from time to time but does not interact with the people on the floor. Dragging your lieutenants thru the mud is not a good way to improve their confidence or production. This company always had oppurtunities to move up/promotions but it has changed now. They will use you to do the job but they will not hire you for the job because you do not have a degree. If they are good enough to fill in (sometimes for years), they should be good enough to have the job then.
