Cons
Unstable Roles. I was hired into a new full-time role at OpenSky (temp-to-perm: hourly compensation). I feel like they used me to get a massive amount of things in working order cheaply. They got a great deal. I worked overtime, implemented new strategies, catered to the very demanding CEO who asked me to "treat him like a baby" and organize his personal life for him (I was even asked to call his mother-in-law to get his information), and generally went into overdrive getting things running. Then, weeks into the job, they asked me to work only 12 hours a week "as they figured out the role." My recruiter was shocked, as was I.
Clearly those in management should know that hiring someone full-time and then asking them to work less than part-time is a scam. What a horrible situation to put someone in! I turned down legit jobs to work at OpenSky and they treated me like a disposable (which is also shocking because I handled a lot of confidential information). When I quit they didn't even respond to my notification.
