      Pros

      The company culture was pretty good. They did a lot of off-sites and flew people in from around the world to get together. Not just the execs, but engineers, QA, etc. Opera is a very multi-cultural company with people from all over the world.

      Cons

      It was difficult to get projects approved. We had a number of projects ready to go that were rejected by management as being "not interesting" only to see large competitors make similar offerings at a later time. A lot of consensus decision making meant any one person could hold up progress.

      Pros

      Truly international in scope and reach, with a mostly HR-centric culture that values employees and delivers management training and feedback well. Nice offices, especially in Norway, and a collaborative and open culture with very little finger-pointing. Lots to do, and many resources with which to do it.

      Cons

      Sometimes a little too European and slow-moving, particularly with regard to setting a direction and sticking to it and/or not shedding unpromising programs or projects quickly enough.
