Pros
Location is in a lovely, wooded setting in Mt. Gretna. You do not have to pay for parking at the Mount Gretna location, although it can be quite a hike from the buildings to your car.
Cons
Philhaven is a free-standing psychiatric hospital, yet does not even have one security guard paid to monitor and be present for any dangerous events-and there have been, including a suicide by gun by an employee in the Philhaven parking lot on 8/29/12. Philhaven seems to expect their employees to work on their own time without getting paid. They also request a person to wear many hats and carry an extremely heavy workload, yet pressures staff to work without getting overtime pay. Their "therapists" are mostly kids right out of college who have no clue about life experiences that many of their patients have gone through. I would not recommend. The focus is bill, bill, bill the insurance companies-what they call "productivity." If you are not productive enough, the management goes after you and calls it your performance. I've witnessed so many people fired when a manager does not care for them for some reason or another-no oral warnings-they go right for the written!
