Pros

Working for Pima Medical Institute is like a family. We all care about each other and most importantly about providing a high quality education for the students. The satisfaction I get on seeing the students achieve things that they never imagine they could is amazing. Pima appreciates the employees and rewards us in many different ways. I am truly blessed each and every day that I have a career at Pima Medical Institute.

Cons

As with every job the work is long and hard at times. High stress situations, but I would not change a thing.

Pros

The ESOP is a great way to entice potential employees. When I joined 9 years ago, I was pleasantly surprised by this. Let's focus on 9 years ago. Everything was fantastic! The Upper Management truly supported the front-liners, listened and provided options and assistance as needed. I was in my Glory. The team I worked with were some of the best n our field, and we had a great relationship. I thought to myself, "This is the company I am going to retire from"!

Cons

About 3-4 years ago, some of the Upper Management people chose to retire. They were replaced by people who, while very nice and understanding, just didn't seem to be up-to-par with the everyday practices we as instructors and Directors have to go through. Not always, but sometimes our concerns fell on deaf ears. And as others were promoted to higher positions in Corporate, they had NO understanding or concerns for what we were telling them. They made decisions that affected us without ever asking for input from those who would be in the line of fire. As many have said before me, the Mission Statement seems to have been abandoned. It really is a shame, because I love Pima. But they need to return to their roots.
