Pros

Honestly there are some truly wonderful people that work at Poly-Med and I cherish some of the people I got to meet and learn from. A few of them still actively follow the small company close knit thing.

Cons

* Training is a mess. There is probably one or two people that can train and if they don’t like you or don’t have time, too bad for you! * HR has no idea how to handle things when there’s an internal workplace problem. * There is almost no chance you will ever move up or be offered an internal position. * No professional training or growth chances. * HR and company president have tuned out on the issues in the company. * Team dynamics are more about who can backstab the best than being supportive of one another.

Pros

Fast-Paced with a combination of working in manufacturing and design. The work is interesting and it is exciting to be in such a niche industry. The company is small enough to remain agile unlike working in larger corporations where it takes years to make decisions. The vibe is very family oriented and in general the upper management is well liked.

Cons

With a smaller company, it can be difficult to find time to work on process improvement and best practices due to resource constraints. However, with growth comes challenges so that is to be expected.

Pros

Great company and good pay, nice coworkers, flexible, and lots of growth.

Cons

Monthly pay and PTO is lower than what I’m used to starting at 10 days for the first 4 years.
