Pros

Pretty great company to work at, but nothing like it used to be. They make it comfortable at the offices and are pushing for the in office culture that used to make the company so great. Good pay, good benefits, good people. Making good progress with AI adoption.

Cons

Decisions often feel made quarter by quarter and it feels like the company lacks the long term vision it used to have.

Pros

I love working at Q2. My personal experience has been very positive. I've had the privilege of being on multiple teams in various departments during my time here and I have had excellent experiences with my managers, leadership, and coworkers.

Cons

The return to office policy is very rigid. I would like to see them adopt a "commute time" policy rather than miles. 50 miles is not equal drive time in Austin vs somewhere like Nebraska. We've lost many excellent coworkers due to this policy. All that institutional knowledge, right out the door in favor of sticking to company policy.

Pros

Pay (salary + bonus + equity) was ok

Cons

HRBPs are sinking the ship. They are making business decisions, hiring/firing decisions for the business units. They sit on interview panels just to ask some behavioral questions that any of the other interviewers could ask. They inconsistently apply extreme policies (not even talking about the RTO). The company says they want to grow to be a billion dollar company. No company has ever done it with HR policies. I've been at companies a tenth of the size and trillion dollar companies. None have had the HR policies that Q2 has. The business model is also not sustainable. The number of financial institutions in the US has been shrinking for 20+ years. And once the local banks get scooped up by the JP Morgan Chases, they'll be using the Chase mobile app, not Q2's software.
