Pros

Good benefits. Decent communication by management but lacks follow through.

Cons

The claims department was in a constant state of restructuring, meaning lots of upper management changes, layoffs, and office closings. Other lines of business don't seem to be effected and the employees in those organizations seem happy. From my observations, moral was horribly low in the claims organization and high in other areas. Meetings were held to encourage dialog between upper management and ground-floor employees but nothing seemed to come from those discussions. From what I have heard since leaving, the claims organization has gotten worse with a lot of long-term employees leaving. Not many opportunities for advancement, I found once I got stuck in claims there wasn't an opportunity to switch. That was the main reason for me leaving, I took a position to advance my career.
