Pros

Good exposure to complex transactions and high-level clients. Strong brand and credibility in the market. Team members are generally competent and driven, which creates a solid learning environment. Good place to build a foundation and understand how large-scale investment banking operates.

Cons

Like most investment banking roles, the pace can be demanding and expectations are high. Work-life balance can fluctuate depending on deal flow. Processes and decision-making can sometimes feel slower due to the size of the organization.

Workload spikes during major incidents can challenge work-life balance, especially when on-call.

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
