Pros
Well respected company in the industry. Talented leaders across the organization who care about the advisors, staff, and home office employees, and most importantly about the clients. Strong, capable financial advisors that put client interests first. RBC is active in the communities which is serves - sponsorships, giving, employee volunteer opportunities.
Cons
It can be challenging to get momentum behind projects/initiatives. RBC currently has too many layers of upper management including Regional Directors and the process to get everyone "bought in" is exhausting and convoluted. You feel valued doing your job, but there is no proactive energy put into growing employees or getting employees exposure to other ares in the organization to broaden their skills. Very difficult to move within RBC. Not uncommon to do the same job for multiple years.
