Pros

Salary was nice coming from the public sector Job isn't hard at all, and there's no real pressure to overperform. You can relax and go at your own pace. Come and go as you please. 11am start? No problem. 2 hour lunch? Go for it! 3pm finish to pick up the kids? Sure! As long as your work is done, people leave you alone.

Cons

No support from management to staff. Limited to no career progression options. Overly convoluted procedures for everything, 75% of which are undocumented. Lots of technical debt, none of which will be solved this century. Most people you'll work with won't help you in any way, shape or form. "This team does not support " is everyone's response. When you ask who does, you won't receive a reply. Dealing with HR isn't great at all, and they don't seem to know what policies and procedures they're advertising on their own HR portal. The RBC solution to every workflow problem is to add more managers.

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
