Pros

Many of the people I worked with were amazing. There are (and were) a lot of talented, smart people at Rk Dixon. From a company standpoint, not much stands out as being better than anywhere else. The Xerox name is a mixed bag...

Cons

The company was acquired by Global/Xerox in 2013 and it's gone downhill from there. There has been a LOT of turnover. Lots of tenured employees have left. New(er) and qualified people have found better opportunities. There did seem to be some attempt to make things better, but overall, I knew a lot of people were unhappy there. RK made some cuts in 2017 and all that work got heaped up on others with no pay increase. Men at the top seem oblivious to the struggles of everyone below. Different rules for different departments. Some policies and rules were very outdated and arbitrary (no sick time, dress code for sales, no option to work remotely). There has been a ton of change in the past few years as the company struggles to find its (newer, Xerox) identity. Other issues: nepotism, good ol boys club, lack of leadership at many levels; unless you fit their mold, you were doomed to fail. Dixons were leaving this year and I'm willing to bet things will be very different in 2019. Glad I'm not sticking around to find out.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. It’s clear from your feedback that you were disappointed by recent changes we made to the business. Change can be hard and we empathize with that. That said, change is needed sometimes to make a business stronger. We did some fact checking, and our turnover has actually decreased from last year to this year. Regarding the cuts that you mentioned, some of the reductions that were made in 2017 strategically align us for growth. Others were voluntary retirements, which was a good resolution for both our employees and our company! In addition, we have made necessary changes that our CEO and President are currently overseeing to make sure annual reviews are given consistently. When pay increases are earned based on performance, we issue them just like any other company. We feel we are making positive strides, and in case you weren’t here during second quarter, we implemented a company-wide survey. As a result, we have been meeting with our staff to look for ideas and suggestions to make us an even stronger company. As a former employee, we welcome your further comments and concerns via phone or even in-person as we want to fully understand more where you are coming from.
