Pros
Many dedicated long-term employees that remain to serve the residents they care about..
Cons
Benefits are pitiful. No true accrual of vacation time -- you're not technically allowed to use it until you've been there for one year. If you leave before one year is up, you forfeit anything you might have been entitled to or pay back anything you might have used. Corporate staff don't seem to show any appreciation for local accomplishments -- and they restrict staffing ratios in such a way that employees feel overworked and, more importantly, residents' safety is compromised. I've never worked for a company that was so profit-oriented that it ignored the satisfaction of staff and clients alike. How they remain in business is beyond me.
