You get a hands-on experience because you work with small teams. You get trusted quite fast while working on multiple projects, and that's extremely confidence rewarding.
Cons
There is no clear visibility on promotion opportunities. Clearly it is difficult to being promoted because the management organization has been stuck for decades -let alone relocation.
