I worked at Rexel Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Family oriented company that seems to take care of their employees. Decent salary for positions and is very HR conscious company.

    Cons

If you aren't in the "click" or an extreme performer in a management position, Top management will work with HR to have to gone quickly. Corporate also liked to change the structure up quite a bit.

    Advice to Management

Stop changing the business structure so much. It only affects mid level management and can discourage them.

I have been working at Rexel Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Best reason to work here is to get experience. Also, it has a great corporate structure. Two week vacation within the first year. Good place for a hard worker to thrive.

    Cons

Management turnover seems high. There is not much opportunity for degree holders at the branch level. Unequal workloads. Easy place for loafers to excel.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to write up, and then fire people. Try to encourage more rather than to discourage, or even worse, to not even notice performance.

    Pros

Good benefits. Sometimes flexible work schedule.

    Cons

No advancement from within. Hires are mostly external. Turnover high. Absolutely no culture. Just a job.

    Advice to Management

Good luck. Its sad how long time employees are treated.

    Pros

It is what you make of it. You can go through the program and get experiences that you won't be able to get anywhere else in your first job or you can just coast. You are rated and ranked against your peers so it is important to make a good impression.

    Cons

A little more structure is needed. The program has been going through a transformation so that have been some speed bumps in the past year. Thankfully, it seems like they are behind the program.

    Advice to Management

Set clear and concise goals/targets for the program members and measure against the achievement of those goals.

I worked at Rexel Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation & benefits are good. Also, co-workers are very knowledgeable and helpful.

    Cons

Too many meetings, upper management that doesn't change, company car program which costs the employee every paycheck, bonus/incentive plan that is provided half-way through the year instead of at the beginning.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to employees...especially those that care about the company. Focus on making the right moves to advance the company such as pricing to win orders, stocking the necessary parts, etc.

I have been working at Rexel Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

As with any job/company, it's about the people you work with and the boss you work for. I've found my boss to be supportive and fair, so I'm pleased with this company.

    Cons

Sometimes the "company" makes it difficult for the "people" to do their jobs. Political nonsense can get in the way, as with most companies.

    Advice to Management

Keep the political nonsense to a minimum and let the people do their jobs.
