Pros
diverse work and colleagues, there are good chances to learn new things, some have nice exposure to the insurance industry
Cons
innovation requires commitment to proper tools, training and infrastructure, quite often management seem to read about it in the inflight magazine ;-) need to focus more on proper software engineering, while current product is still OK the future is in big data and large scale computing which are beyond standard knowledge for earthquake engineers
