The number of people who have left in the last 6 months alone without jobs to go to is alarming. These are people that have grown with R+F through the years and whose preference would be to stay but are forced to leave as an escape from a toxic work environment because the issues have escalated to a point where they have lost hope for change for a company they love. HR does not handle complaints seriously or properly. Some specifically gossip non-stop about truly personal matters of execs and employees. This has been complained about numerous times and quite frankly, could open the company up to a lawsuit. Employees are disheartened and untrusting of HR knowing that even if they do file complaints for sexual harassment or bullying, they it either won’t get dealt with or will result in retaliation from the person they are accusing, resulting in an even more toxic environment. The CEO and COO have destroyed the morale at this company. They run the company solely to benefit themselves. I’ve heard from both employees and Consultants that they have no respect or trust in these women. The CEO has no real understanding of the field and is mostly MIA to the home office. The COO has zero respect for her department - she is known to berate the staff, change her mind constantly not caring about the consequences. While others on her team are guilty of being selfishly motivated and unreasonable (including some of her VPs and directors) - at the top, she is responsible for creating a culture where your personal time isn’t valued and you’re expected to be on call or working nearly 24/7 or even on PTO - a far cry from the time freedom we deeply push as a benefit for our Consultants. She’ll outright refuse to give budget toward the staff or resources needed for projects she demands, but spare NO expense when it comes to spending the company’s money on her own travel, wardrobe, and anything that benefits her personally. She leads with zero strategy and all emotion. Rodan + Fields attracts the best, most passionate, intelligent and creative people but lacks the leadership to keep them. If not properly addressed soon, it will only continue to have a domino effect and impact the future of what the Doctors and Consultants have built.
