Good contract opportunities.
Funky headquarters in Pioneer Square, downtown Seattle.
In the middle of recession-resistant Western Washington.
Organized and thorough in terms of getting employees set up with equipment and ready to work.
Cons
When a situation arose that had the client inappropriately questioning my abilities, despite all evidence to the contrary, they did not support me and did not assist me in finding more work.

You have our apologies for your negative experience. Unfortunately, at times, we must do as our clients wish. We will certainly take your advice if any similar situations arise in the future, and will be more investigative as well as provide more assistance in finding additional work. We wish you all the best in your career and please let us know if we can be of any assistance (with providing you referrals or by using our connections in the Seattle market).
Rylem is fantastic to work with as a consulting partner. From the initial outreach to the final onboarding, their communication was top-notch. They matched me with a great client that fit my technical skill set perfectly. Payroll is always on time, and their team frequently checks in to make sure you have everything you need to succeed on the job. Highly recommend them if you're looking for solid tech or finance contract placements.
Cons
The biggest downside is the typical agency contract structure. Benefits packages are relatively basic and expensive. Additionally, once you are placed with a client, you don't hear from your HR rep very often unless you actively reach out with a paycheck issue. There's also very little transitional support or job-search help when your contract is nearing its end date.
Connected me with a great company that offered me a full-time role. In this job market, that’s a blessing. Dave from Rylem got my foot in the door and here I am now.
Cons
Only real gripe I had while working with this agency was the time card system, only because of how manual and tedious the process can be. But this is a simple minor inconvenience.
