      Pros

      Some cool people to work with. Most project managers are understanding or willing to help.

      Cons

      Poor communication and transparency. Will make you work above your title to get experience before a promotion, but won't promote. Management plays favorites. Claims to value input, but if you do too much you'll be out of favor. Culture is very much about working over time and getting stuff done. Certain PMs have poor work life balance.

      Pros

      Staff is super nice and friendly, lots of field visits, and learning opportunities. As an intern, I never got bored and felt like I learned a lot about solid waste. Company has a lot of opportunities to grow as an engineer.

      Cons

      Feast and famine culture like any other consulting job but it compliments nicely with field work.
