      In slow years, you will have have work-life balance. Intelligent colleagues. Interesting and important work to protect investors and promote capital formation.

      Cons

      Pay inequity. No merit-based salary increases. No bonuses. Work gets repetitive. In busy years, you will work many hours beyond the designated work hours. Very competitive and difficult to get promoted.

      Things have changed under the current Republican administration, but the SEC has always been known as a great place to work with the highest salaries in the federal government and very family friendly
