Pros
No pros to be said except it’s multi racial workforce and everyone hates this place
Cons
You can go few years in and still no promotion. Well done, you wasted your youth .. 7 days shift pattern then 2 days off.. Each team has 800+ equipment to maintain per year.. most equipment can be 300m-1km away from the previous. Forced to overtime almost everyday if you want to even maintain all . Miss one equipment? Management all the way from the top blames you and asks why you have a time crunch when they know why. Overtime is not mandatory but necessary , best to avoid this place. In the end 7days 2 off becomes 8days 1 off . Supervisory tasks is also your problem, supervising your team? Only peanuts given for every time you do it, there is no raise. Your planning? You do it on your own. Someone injured? You’re fired/suspended. Now there’s an individual point system. Lateness, mistakes affect your performance grading.. No point looking forward to bonus.. A guy with only few days mc and no other issues can get a b grade . Choose who you want to work for wisely.. You’re wasting your time if you think you’re gonna learn anything properly because you’ll be thrown to bare heavy tasks on your own once probation is done. The severe lack of sleep and rest will affect your health.. There is no workplace insurance other than free gp .
