Pros

Working for SRP is very rewarding. Like most other companies you get what you put in. Nobody will hold your hand and lead you. It is up to you to take initiative and you are well rewarded for it. Very family friendly environment where the company cares about its employees well being. Benefits are great. Flexible work schedules allow employees to pick the time they start and end their shifts unless it is a job that requires you to be there at specific times.

Cons

If you are looking to climb up the career ladder overnight, this is not the place for you. You have to be patient if you want to get ahead. The company may not be at the bleeding edge of technology as we stick to tried and tested technologies for the most part. With the changing utility environment, it is not sure if the culture will change to adapt.

Pros

SRP gave me stability, experience, and the chance to build real skills. I had positive experiences there, and I’m grateful for parts of it. But I’m also realizing that the environment doesn’t always operate from a positive or growth-minded place, and I have to be honest about what that has cost me

Cons

The con is not that SRP is a bad place. The con is that it can give you stability and experience, but not always a clear or fair feeling of movement. You can give a lot, build a lot, and still feel like you’re waiting for someone to finally see it
