Pros

A lot of great people. Decent benefits, and a pension (a rarity nowadays), share offerings, and profit sharing for permanent employees (during good times).

Cons

Extremely poor management (Sr and Intermediate levels), zero trust, nonexistent change management, no accountability structure, no capital investment (facilities, technology, or neccessary manufacturing equipment), and almost no opportunity for advancement without leaving the site.

Pros

People are treated very well at Safran. They might not be the highest paying Aerospace company in the USA, but they have great benefits, management, and people. And still, the pay is usually competitive.

Cons

The headquarters are in France and therefore you need to be open to a different culture. Additionally, French and English are used sometimes in communications.

Pros

Many learning opportunities for troubleshooting different types of avian generator control units. Opportunities to work with a variety of engineering departments including production, test, quality, and industrialization. Occasional overtime opportunities.

Cons

High stress due to production deadlines, especially at the end of month. Miscommunications due to constant reprioritizing of needs. Difficult to move from short term (1 year+ only) contracts to full time positions.
