Pros

- Financial Services provided a great environment for individuals who are willing to learn and put in the effort to improve their professional skills. - The team takes pride in providing education and development on any topic and the same is said for the team members. Every person/subject matter expert was willing to help on any matter any time. - Started focusing on making improvements using an analytical approach - Exposure to the executive team was relatively good. - Remote flexibility was an amazing luxury to have and work-life balance was never a problem. - When we were in office, the work environment was great.

Cons

- How you experience growth in the department is dependent on who you report to and and not necessarily the skills you provide. - The headcount has been decreasing steadily as the department pushes to hire "top-tier" talent while offering uncompetitive pay. This is partially due to only pursuing recent college graduates and being picky in the interview process. - The number of leadership team members has increased so much that growth is being stunted for certain individuals who deserve to be in leadership roles. - IT enhancements for the department are lagging behind primarily because IT resources at ScanSource as a whole are scarce. - Even though a more analytical approach has been implemented, there are still several processes that resulted from knee-jerk reactions to abnormal events that should be changed.

Pros

The company is well known in the area, so if you have experience at ScanSource, it will help you to get a decent paying job at another company.

Cons

Wages are low. "Yes Men" are rewarded. You will feel uncomfortable if not a Christian.
