Pros

Some good benefits, allow for hybrid and remote working.

Cons

Almost constant stream of DEI training that is ultimately meaningless. Apparently want to have a startup culture, this is just a pretense of using passion to manipulate people. Ironically have a toxic workplace culture. The reality of working there is that there is so much red-tape and you're expected to stay in your lane. Original thoughts are not allowed, just clone X or Y existing game. Pay-rises are based off if a project is successful, good if you're Monopoly GO, not so good for others. Leadership presentations that feel like they haven't worked in games development before or they honestly think the concepts they are sharing are new and groundbreaking. Teams were often dismantled and pushed somewhere else on the whim of management.

Pros

Great pay, good work-life balance

Cons

Leadership on game teams doesn't have a lot of oversight, which leads to much different experiences across teams. Scopely is investing more in games at earlier stages of production, but doesn't know what to do with the talent if the game doesn't work out. Expect layoffs or a lot of confusion if you're not working on a released project.
