Pros
Associate tenure is high compared to other companies. As a mutual company, I have never seen a mass layoff. There were some recent divestitures, but all affected associates were guaranteed employment with the transition. Many career advancement opportunities. Good benefits for long-term employees (generous PTO, profit sharing, pension). Good work-life balance and flexibility in the way we work with a hybrid work environment (2-days in office per week).
Cons
Generally slow to change. Behind on technology modernization. Consistently below market rate for salary. Paid paternity leave is low comparatively (4 weeks).
